A PTSD Cure and PTSD Treatments That Everyone Should Know About

Years ago, I gave birth to a stillborn baby. This was traumatic and although I can’t say that developed full-blown PTSD from it, I was never able to view pregnancy as a magical experience after our stillborn baby was born. I had unresolved fears about pregnancy and although I never had flashbacks or difficulty sleeping or any of the other symptoms of PTSD, I did become cynical about pregnancy. And ambivalent. Years later, after I had some distance between me and the traumatic event, I realized how trauma had affected my life and how it’s even affected how my daughter views pregnancy. Most people at one time or another experience traumatic events in their lifetime, but some people have difficulty processing specific traumatic events for reasons that are fully understood scientifically. These people may have problems releasing the traumatic memories which can lead to the development of PTSD.   I can’t number how many people I know who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I work with kids a lot and it never ceases to surprise me how many of them have mothers or fathers with PTSD. And it also troubles me when I hear how this problem affects the lives of the PTSD sufferer as well as family members. PTSD symptoms include:   Re-experiencing the traumatic event or events in the form of memories, flashbacks, or nightmares. A...

Resveratrol Health Benefits That May Surprise You

Resveratrol has become famous as a non-toxic dietary supplement that can help prevent heart disease. Though these claims have not been supported by big American organizations and corporations that stand to benefit from rampant heart disease in the U.S., resveratrol is still a wildly popular supplement. But does it really work?   For American and European citizens who live under a capitalistic health care system, each patient has to decide for themselves whether to follow the advice that’s being handed down by Big Pharma or other large corporations that stand to gain from disease or whether they’re going...

Temazcal, Heat, and Humidity Help Pudendal Neuralgia

No one likes to talk about their private parts, especially when things aren’t going well. But sometimes, let’s face it, things go wrong down there. Recently, my husband had a strange nerve sensation at the tip of his penis that would radiate down his leg into the base of his foot. Needless to say, this problem, which he self-diagnosed as pudendal neuralgia, was distressing. Nothing seemed to help and after several months of this strange sensory anomaly, he’d decided that it was something he’d just have to learn to live with.   Last year, I went to a...

Disclaimer: Consult with a doctor before deciding on a treatment plan for cancer or any other disease. We’ve included links below to products that have a reputation for being of high-quality and appropriate for holistic treatment of hormonal issues. These affiliate links help fund this web site and keep it going. If you go to the doctor because you’re a woman and you’re having hormone issues or menstrual problems, chances are your doctor will prescribe birth control pills if you aren’t already taking them. But before you jump on that bandwagon, there are some natural remedies that are much kinder to your body and that can lead to some spectacular results health-wise. Most notable among these is IODINE but also vitamin B17. If you have menstrual problems, fertility issues, or any kind of hormonal imbalance, you need to be supplementing with high-dose iodine (see below for more information). Most women these days take the pill or use some form of birth control product that involves synthetic hormones which is unfortunate. For sexually active women, unless you have perfectly timed periods, with perfect “flow”, and you’re using a diaphragm or condoms, it can be hard to escape from synthetic hormones. But synthetic hormones put women at risk for developing cancer as well as other health problems. If you’d rather avoid birth control pills this is an important article for you.  ...

How to Get Rid of a Yeast Infection: Candiasis

Disclaimer: Consult with a doctor before deciding on a treatment plan for any disease. We’ve included links below to products that have a reputation for being of high-quality and that are appropriate for the holistic treatment of disease. These affiliate links help fund this web site and keep it going. UPDATE TO THE ORIGINAL ARTICLE: When I first wrote this article, a vaginal yeast infection was (to me) an infection that could be treated as an isolated thing that was happening in an isolated part of the body. Indeed, a vaginal yeast infection can be very distracting, painful, and uncomfortable and it begs to be treated with something that will quell the itching. But after years of study, I’ve learned that a vaginal yeast infection is often a holistic, systemic infection that should be treated with holistic methods. So, after years of research and learning, I have to say that the treatments offered in this article are not, in my opinion, “cures” for a vaginal yeast infection, but rather “cover ups” that can get you through the worst stages of the problem until you can work to cure it holistically using some simple, but life-changing techniques to cure candida (both vaginal candida infections as well as systemic candida infections) that are detailed in another article. If you have recurrent vaginal yeast infections, please read the article How to Cure Candida....
